Are you inspired by the principles of naturopathic medicine, but feel stifled by the one-on-one office visit model? Are you looking for ways to embody the medicine more fully, for yourself and for your patients?
Join us in a deep dive into experiential medicine: the how-to guide for creating community-based medicine as part of your practice. Develop experience and confidence in group workshop and retreat hosting. Expand your practice beyond the one-on-one patient visit model. Enjoy your CEs by spending time in nature and creating the workshop you’ve been wanting to host.
This immersive course is designed to give you the specific tools and models for creating effective and fun events. You will learn to host unique workshops or unforgettable retreats that build your practice beyond the one-on-one patient visit model.
The course guides participants through the stages of experience→learn→do. Participants will experience one weekend retreat in the fall, then over the course of 5 months they will learn the facilitation, organization, and leadership skills to run a successful event through online course work. The course culminates with a second weekend retreat in the spring collaboratively facilitated by the course participants, with structured evaluation and feedback given by the instructors and other participants.
You’ll earn CEs (CONO Category A pending) while experiencing a wellness retreat (doing mindful walking in the forest, stretching your body with morning qi gong, and sharing nourishing meals with like-minded practitioners in a beautiful retreat-style setting away from the city), and you’ll also gain the confidence and skills to deliver your own creative event!
