How much: Thrive is generously sponsoring this program (supported by Eversio Wellness); the cost to each participant is $75.  Students are also responsible for their own transportation and food costs.

How many: In order to walk gently on the land, we will be capping each weekend at 15 participants. If there is sufficient interest, we will explore the possibility of offering future opportunities.

Why: Our connection to the natural world is a foundational aspect of our health. Living in alignment with the natural world is to live in alignment with ourselves. In these retreats we will create space for deepening our connection with the natural world and by extension our relationship with ourselves and our community.  Time in nature has been shown to benefit many domains of health:
  • Psycho-emotional relaxation and reduced stress.
  • Improved mood.
  • Increased focus and cognition.
  • Greater physical movement.

One of the main tenets of the weekend is relationship building, which yields benefits in terms of social connection, trust, and a sense of purpose and place, all critical to well-being. We strive to create a harmonious, safe, and open environment for learning and growing as a cohesive group. Living the principles of health is an important part of being an effective healer, and we encourage students to explore what that means for them on the retreat, as individuals, and as a group.
